One day, Stella and Mum

went to the shops.

Stella got a birthday card

for her brother, Ollie.

Stella looked at the card

as they walked home.        

“Ollie will like this funny card,"

Stella said to Mum.

 

Stella did not see

the big puddle.

She walked into it.

Splash!

“Oh, no!” cried Stella.

“l let go of Ollie's card.

 It is in the puddle!”

 

The card was

all wet and muddy.

“It's too late to go back

to the shop for a new card,"

said Mum.

Stella was sad.

Then, she saw

all the leaves

on the path.

 

“Mum!" said Stella.

“l can make a card for Ollie.I will do it all by myself.”

Stella got lots of leaves to take home.

 

The next day,Stella stuck the leaves on a card.

“I have made a rabbit card for Ollie," said Stella.“He loves rabbits."

“That's very good, Stella!”said Mum.

 

Ollie's friends came to his birthday party.

“I like my rabbit card,”Ollie said to Stella.

Ollie's friends said they liked

the card, too.

 

“Let's get some leaves and make animals,"said one of Ollie's friends.

After that, all the children made animals from leaves.
